Real estate sites are getting cooler and cooler!

Now, thanks to a partnership with Maponics, PropertyShark.com users can search and map by neighborhood to find properties of interest. Then, using PropertySharks.com’s extensive database (created from hundreds of public and proprietary sources), they can find critical hidden details – including the black marks that a seller may be trying to hide.

Chairman Matthew Haines founded PropertyShark.com in 2002 after recognizing a significant gap in the quality and quantity of information easily available to real estate searchers.

Explaining how Maponics fits into their vision, he states, “Incorporating Maponics into PropertyShark.com allows our users to browse for sale listings, foreclosures, sales comparables, and property reports within specific and discrete neighborhoods. We chose Maponics neighborhood data to power our real estate search in part because the coverage areas of the Maponics neighborhood boundaries do not overlap, like they do in other datasets we looked at. This means that each property belongs to one neighborhood only, which eliminates duplicate content, makes for better search results and map display, and decreases the data integration time.”
