If you have ordered from the Maponics Online Store or browsed Maponics.com, you may be aware of our commitment to bettering society through charitable contribution. But did you know that 10% of our total company profits go to charity every quarter?

Who Get’s that 10%?

Since our customer base spans the nation, we give to one local and four national charities (see this list with brief descriptions below). These non-profit organizations were chosen for their operating efficiency, which allows the maximum amount of each donation to reach those in need.

Percentage Break Down

Feedback gathered from our online store customers and employees is used to determine the break down by charity. The table below shows this distribution for 2007.

Time and Services Too

Each of us is also encouraged to take two paid days a year to volunteer for a worthy cause. Occasionally, a charity will come to us with a location-based problem that we are also able to solve pro-bono.

Charities Receiving Financial Donations from Maponics

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers who provide relief to victims of disasters and assist in emergency prevention, response, and preparation.

Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) is a national non-profit volunteer organization that creates a library of audio books and makes them available to people who cannot effectively read standard print materials.

The United States Fund for UNICEF has supported the work of UNICEF by fundraising for its programs and increasing public awareness of the challenges facing the world’s children.

The Vermont Earth Institute educates and supports Vermonters in reducing consumption and adopting environmentally sustainable practices in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) works from their headquarters at Bronx Zoo to save wildlife and wild lands throughout the world.
