Created and hosted by Nick Springer of Springer Cartographics, CartoTalk has a great community of members who are always willing to help new visitors and others answer mapping-related questions. Becoming a member is free, and takes under 5 minutes.

The map gallery section of CartoTalk contains hundreds of topics – everything from peer to peer networks in Maine, to history book battlefield maps, to online interactive maps. Members even post maps there for improvement ideas or advice on how to solve a particular problem.
